Car Tags

All San Jacinto Students

This year we are utilizing car tags to streamline our dismissal procedures and to increase safety for our students. At Meet the Teacher, or the first day of school, each student will be given two car tags with their grade level, teacher, and name on them. These tags can be hung from the rearview mirror of your vehicle. When parents/ guardians arrive at pick-up, staff will view your car tag and call for your student to be dismissed. An adult will help your child to the car to ensure they get inside safely. If you lose your car tag or need additional tags, please let your child's teacher know. We appreciate your help in ensuring the safety of our students. 

Drop Off & Pick Up Locations

Students in Early Childhood Special Education (ESCE)

  • Drop Off: Enter through the Pope Street Gate. Staff will be there to walk students to class.
  • Pick Up: Dismissal is at 2:45 through the Pope Street Gate. Students will be walked by staff to the bus or to your car.

Pre-K

  • Drop Off: Students will enter through the Cafeteria. 
  • Pick Up: Dismissal is at 2L45 through the Pope Street Gate. Students will be walked by staff to your car.

K - 2nd Grade

  • Drop Off: Students will enter through the Cafeteria. 
  • Pick Up: K-2nd Grade dismisses at 3:05 from the Cafeteria.

3rd-5th Grade

  • Drop Off: Enter through the Front Doors of the school at the Main Entrance.
  • Pick Up: 
    • 3rd Grade dismisses at 3:05 in front of the school between the cafeteria and main building
    • 4th Grade dismisses at 3:05 in front of the school
    • 5th Grade dismisses at 3:05 in front of Old Bobcat Stadium

Siblings: Students will dismiss from their grade level locations. Siblings will not be dismissed to meet each other. This is for the safety of our students. 

Parent Walk-Ups: To ensure the safety of our students, parents who walk up to get their child will be asked to present their car tag or a picture ID. Thank you for your support with this procedure.

Schedule

7:20 am- Doors open and students may begin to be dropped off.

7:35 am- First Bell rings.

7:45 am- Tardy Bell rings. Students entering class later than 7:45 will be considered tardy.

3:05pm - Final Bell rings. All students are dismissed.
